Artist Jackie Paton designed Shine to encourage us to always be eager to Explore and Learn so that we can Grow and Shine! Jackie tells us, "Don't waste the day - do something!" Using her signature stencilscapes technique, she painted a whimsical tree of knowledge for the main panel and added five companion vignettes to inspire us. Wise owls, inquisitive cats, industrious birds, and breezy butterflies play on the Shine panel scenes. Cathedral Window motifs and the words of advice, Be Honest, Be Kind, Be Wise, and Be Happy, add to the motivational theme. Coordinates include a Be Wise, Be Happy border and a toss of owls asking Who will Shine? A toss of butterflies, a Cathedral Window geometric, a toss of colorful leaves, tone-on-tone stars, and bubbles, all in muted reds, greens, blues, and soft golds, complete the collection.
